This area studies offensive and defensive security technologies across reverse engineering, vulnerability research, penetration testing, bug bounty practices, and red team/blue team activities. We analyze weaknesses in software and systems, reconstruct realistic attack scenarios from a defensive perspective, and design detection rules, response procedures, and hardening measures that connect vulnerability discovery with verifiable defense capabilities.
